How should I prepare for my appointment?

To enhance the effectiveness of your appointment, it's crucial to bring along a few items. If you're getting jeans altered, ensure they're worn and not freshly washed. For dresses, suits, or any other outfit, bring the shoes you intend to wear so that we can ensure the proper length. When it comes to dresses, don't forget to bring any undergarments, such as Spanx or bras, that you plan on wearing. If you're uncertain about the shoes or undergarments for your garment, feel free to bring multiple options, and we can provide advice on what works best. If you need further clarification on what items to bring, don't hesitate to ask!

How long will it take?

While we aim for a prompt turnaround, the duration of each project varies, influenced by both its unique characteristics and our current workload. For an accurate estimate of your project's timeline, we recommend reaching out to us directly.

Please be aware that turnaround times for wedding and formal dresses may extend to 4+ months during peak seasons such as August through October, so it's advisable to plan accordingly. (Slower seasons can extend to 2+ months for special occasion dresses.)

How much does it cost? 

While our pricing is competitive, if you're seeking the most budget-friendly option, we may not be the ideal choice. We take immense pride in our work, investing the necessary time and attention, and our pricing reflects this commitment to quality craftsmanship. Each project varies, but we're more than happy to provide an estimate before initiating any work. It's important to note that the initially provided pricing is an estimate and may fluctuate based on the actual hours dedicated to the garment.

For wedding dress consultations, a deposit is mandatory, and should you proceed with our services, this amount will be deducted from your final price. During the initial appointment, we offer valuable advice and guidance, irrespective of your decision to engage our services.

What type of payment do you accept? 

We accept most* payment types including VISA, Mastercard, and Venmo. 

* At this time we do not accept personal checks, AMEX or Zelle. Thank you for your understanding 

I have a rush order, can you help?

We do our best to accommodate rush orders. We've fixed botched wedding dresses days before the big day, outfits before a last-minute trip, whatever your emergency is, we'll try to help. Just send us a text or email and we'll set a realistic timeline for you. We've even partnered with local delivery and pick-up service to save you travel time if you need it! Learn more HERE. Will you work with men? 

We have found a unique affinity for the intricacies and nuances of women's fashion, aligning with our personal passion that enhances the quality of our work. By focusing solely on female clientele, we can dedicate more time and attention to each project, ensuring meticulous craftsmanship and client satisfaction. Additionally, this decision is rooted in our commitment to creating a safe and comfortable environment for clients, fostering a trusting relationship that is essential in the world of custom tailoring. Our specialization in women's fashion further refines our expertise, allowing us to deliver exceptional results tailored to the unique preferences and styles of our female clients. If you are or know of a male client that needs tailoring, we are happy to make recommendations of other tailors who will meet your needs, but please note we do not personally ensure their work. 

My event was canceled. I no longer need alterations. Now what? 

Please inform us at your earliest convenience! Following your initial appointment, upon accepting the provided estimate and timeline, you commit to paying the specified amount for the alterations, regardless of whether your event is canceled. However, should you notify us before the completion of the alterations, we will only charge you for the hours worked.

Do you outsource your work? 

With all tailoring meticulously executed in-house without the use of subcontractors, rest assured of the quality of our craftsmanship. We are also fully insured, for added peace of mind.
